Sackboy’s Epic 3D Adventure

After a long, impromptu stay in hospital, I return back to Game Development, working on Sackboy: A Big Adventure!
Through many iterations and versions, the end result is a charming, beautiful platforming adventure, bursting with creativity.

QA Lead & Design

I started on the very early versions of the Sackboy Adventure as the team explored numerous concepts for how to bring the next Sackboy game to life. I was the QA Lead on the project, co-coordinating the testing plans and reviewing the implementations of the documents supplied by Design.

During this process, I began exploring Game Design; being invited to Design brainstorms around Level Design and Game Objects Sackboy could interact with. I started creating designs for various systems and Game Objects that could be featured. I was asked to explore Elemental Systems, Creation Objects, and produce rip-o-matics which could sell the new concepts. This was very early into the development of Sackboy, and the game changed significantly through the years.

Eventually a Game Design role opened up on another project and I left the Team to begin my journey into Game Design. I have such fond memories of the team and the atmosphere, the project was filled with excitement and energy on where to take the Character and feel very honoured to be given the opportunity to take on designs for the project.
